Idea London was founded in 2013 as an innovation centre in the heart of Shoreditch, Wilson Street, backed by three powerhouse organisations: Cisco, UCL Engineering, and EDF Energy. Our high-profile launch, attended by then-Prime Minister David Cameron, marked the beginning of what would become one of London’s most successful startup incubation programmes.
Through our intensive programmes from 2012 to 2019, we helped transform innovative ideas into commercially viable businesses. Our unique approach combined cutting-edge technology infrastructure, academic excellence, and energy sector expertise to create an unparalleled environment for startup success.

Our Journey
2013 – Foundation & High-Profile Launch
Established as an innovation centre at Wilson Street, Shoreditch, with backing from Cisco, UCL Engineering, and EDF Energy. Our launch event, attended by Prime Minister David Cameron, positioned us as a flagship initiative for London’s tech ecosystem.
